Inspiration

The inception of this project started by wanting to create a racing game as they have become a very niche genre as of recently and we wanted to take that and make some fire with it. I wanted to combine the Idea of a MOBA with a Karting game. More specifically merging the concepts of Overwatch and applying them into a Mario Kart type game. Crashing those two ideas together is where the main concept would start.

Firstly, I knew what type of market was missing this type of game, so I wanted to create this game for the mobile market, and also considering at the time mobile game were becoming more and more over-populated with eacy games to play on the go incorporating that meants the game itself or play times would have to be fast-paced to keep users there.

Conception

So how did I want to make this possible, firstly the basic driving mechanics would be considered later on and foucs was to be on how this cna be a customisable experience, like with Overwatch the game’s class system and wide variety of different and unique characters delivers that special experience. Incoporating it in car driving game, might involved types of vehicles as well as characters.

Overwatch has Abilities and an Ultimate attack from each character with Health Points involved and combining the positive/negative feedback from Karting games, I wanted to note that the person who would be in first place, the ultimate charge would be slower, whilst the person in last place would be get a faster charge

Types of vehicles

  • Light - A Moterbike, a sports car, a scooter, a bicycle

  • Middle - A normal road car, a mini floating spacship

  • Heavy - a truck, a tank, a tanker car

This is what I was able to start off with when it came to the vehicles classes. Then lastly, to keep the idea somewaht easier to contain, at least 10 characters would be included, this would be adjusted if cutting was needed
